The buffer in a streaming audio player temporarily stores the last few seconds of your station’s playback. In the event that your network connection slows down or is momentarily disrupted, the station you’re listening to will play back from the buffer until the connection is restored. If the buffer runs out, the audio will begin to skip or possibly drop off completely. This is similar to a buffer on a portable CD player, which prevents your portable CD player from skipping as you jog.
On occasion, some listeners may notice that the audio for the station they listen to skips, pauses or buffers. This is generally caused by bandwidth problems -- where somewhere along the way the audio cannot be successfully transmitted through a connection.
radioio streams on ports between 8000 and 9000. We recommend consulting the documentation that came with your firewall and opening that range to listen to radioio and other streaming channels.
When you use the 'forgot login info' link the system does a password reset and then sends your account information out via formatted email. some email spam filter systems such as aol and yahoo etc, see this as spam as it's formatted and contains keywords like 'password'. As such, they delete it before you receive it. If you have requested your user information via the automated system on radioio and it never arrived, please contact customer care. They will be able to either forward the information to you or reset your password as desired. We recommend adding radioio.com to your "allowed" senders list in your service email filters. your internet / email provider should be able to tell you how to do this.
You must be writing from the account listed in your radioio account as a security measure. If this information has changed, you will need to provide additional information before customer care will be able to help.
