Why do I only see set numbers when listening to the Ambient Stream?
We are working on finding a better way to gather and display the recently played and now playing info for the ambient stream. We receive the Ambient stream in a different manner than our other streams. The difference is that AMBIENT is programmed in sets and we have software that scrapes these sets to determine the times when the songs within them changes. Since it takes many programs and servers correctly working in precise time and unison, the AMBIENT song titles can be problematic. We hope to improve this system as time goes on and apologize for any frustrations you experience identifying the songs. The good thing is that the music is still being played and heard as intended.
Here is some info on how to use the Set numbers to get the now playing info.
All the program and set numbers you see displayed are shown at my Musical Starstreams site in the play list archive. Here is the link: http://www.starstreams.com/playlists/archive.php
The play lists will tell you all the info on each song within each three or four song set. They are categorized by years. So for example:
0850 – 0850 – Set Two
this is program number 0850 – found in the 2008 archive and the songs of set two would be what you are listening to.
