Thanks for joining me in the celebration and discovery of music. Since childhood, I have always been amazed at how music could immediately change my mood and transform my world through listening. Discovering new sounds through rhythm and melody became habit forming and music has become a lifetime passion. Though I have performed and taught music, it has been the art of listening that provides me with the greatest joy.

As a kid, I was the first in line at the local drug store record rack to see what came in that week. Later, when I went to a friends house in the neighborhood, I would take my stack of 45’s with me to exchange and share what I found. Does this sound familiar to you? I consider myself one of the luckiest persons on the planet as I have now been given the opportunity to share music ‘as I hear it’ through radio. Music has had such an impact in my life that I have always desired to share what I find with others. I have never doubted that music affects others in a similar way. I learned early in life that sharing my experiences with others can be a very enjoyable activity. I am not, nor have I ever wanted to be thought of as a music expert. I am simply a music fan and a lifetime student in discovery and learning of music.

We are along for the journey together. As you listen to my selections, I encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas about how you hear and listen to music. I hope to always remind us of the great music from our past so that we don’t forget. I promise to continue to share what I find while on the lookout for the best new music being produced.
