Britney Spears’ Grandpa Dies: Singer Mourns Beloved Grandfather

Britney Spears is mourning her paternal grandfather, June Austin Spears, who passed away on December 16, 2012 at the age of 82.

According to his obituary on Legacy.com, June served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and worked as a police officer for the Baton Rouge City Police in Louisiana.

He is survived by 10 children, 24 grandchildren (including Britney and her two siblings, Bryan and Jamie Lynn), and 12 great-grandchildren (including Britney's sons, Sean and Jayden).
